Botox at Cullinan Clinic

At Cullinan Clinic, we provide medical-grade anti-wrinkle treatments performed exclusively by experienced, licensed practitioners. We use approved brands such as Botox®, Bocouture® and Azzalure®, sourced directly from regulated UK pharmacies to guarantee authenticity and safety.

Every treatment follows a full medical consultation and assessment, ensuring the product and dosage are precisely prescribed to your individual needs. Our focus is simple: safe, refined, natural-looking results delivered with medical integrity.

What Are Botox (Neuromodulator) Treatments?

Botox injections use derivatives of botulinum toxin type A to temporarily relax targeted facial muscles. When muscles can’t over-contract, overlying skin softens, reducing the appearance of expression lines, for example in the forehead, between the brows (“frown lines”), and around the eyes (“crow’s feet”).

These treatments do not fill volume (that’s dermal fillers) they smooth dynamic lines caused by movement. The effect typically begins within a few days, peaking around 7-14 days, and lasts several months.

Each neuromodulator has subtle differences in formulation, behaviour, and handling. At Cullinan Clinic we may select the best one for your face, muscle strength, and aesthetic goal.

Allergan Botox® (OnabotulinumtoxinA)

Allergan Botox® is the most widely recognized and established brand of botulinum toxin.
It contains complexing proteins that help stabilize the active molecule and provide moderate diffusion once injected.

Onset of action: usually begins within 3-5 days
Duration: lasts around 3–4 months, sometimes up to 5 months
Best for: an all-round, predictable treatment suitable for most patients and practitioners.
Botox is often the go-to choice for consistent, reliable results across all treatment areas.

Bocouture® (IncobotulinumtoxinA)

Bocouture® features a “naked” toxin molecule, meaning it contains no complexing proteins, making it exceptionally pure.
This can be an advantage for patients who may have developed resistance to other brands or prefer a formulation with minimal additional proteins.

Best for: patients who have previously built resistance to Botox or those who prefer a cleaner, more purified formula.
Onset of action: similar to Botox, typically within 3-5 days, occasionally a little slower
Duration: roughly 3-4 months.

Azzalure® (AbobotulinumtoxinA)

Azzalure® has a slightly different molecular structure and tends to diffuse more broadly within the tissue, which can be beneficial for treating larger facial areas.
It uses a different unit scale compared to Botox, so doses are not interchangeable.

Onset of action: may begin slightly faster (2-4 days)
Duration: around 3-4 months, sometimes longer
Best for: wider treatment zones, or areas where a slight spread of product is desirable, such as the forehead.

* Duration and onset vary by individual (metabolism, muscle strength, repeat injections, area treated).
(Also, note: A “unit” of Botox/Bocouture is not directly equivalent to a “unit” of Azzalure – they use different potency scales and must be dosed by a trained professional.

Why do we pick one vs another?

1. If you want very precise control with minimal spread, Botox or Bocouture may be ideal.
2. If you have a larger area or require some natural diffusion, Azzalure may suit better.
3. If you’ve had many treatments before and there’s a risk of antibody resistance, Bocouture (which lacks complexing proteins) can sometimes mitigate that risk.
4. In sweat / hyperhidrosis treatments, Azzalure’s spread may be advantageous.

In practical hands, the skill of the injector often matters more than small brand differences, knowing exactly where, how deep, and how much to inject.

FAQ

How long do results last?
Anti-wrinkle treatments are beautifully predictable. Results typically last around 3–4 months, gradually softening as natural muscle movement returns. With consistent maintenance, many clients notice that muscles respond more efficiently over time, often requiring smaller amounts to maintain a smooth, refreshed look. It’s a controlled, elegant way to manage ageing — never permanent, always adaptable.

Which brand do you use?
We select the most appropriate, licensed product based on your anatomy, muscle strength, and aesthetic goals. The key is not the label — it’s precision dosing, correct placement, and clinical experience. Expertise makes the difference.

Why is quality worth investing in?
We prioritise safety, authenticity, and outcomes. Only genuine, traceable products sourced from regulated UK pharmacies are used. Dosing is never compromised, never over-diluted, and always medically appropriate. All injections are performed by qualified medical professionals with advanced training in facial anatomy. When it comes to your face, precision and medical oversight are non-negotiable — and that’s exactly what ensures refined, natural results.

Is it comfortable?
The procedure is quick and very well tolerated. Most clients describe it as a few light pinpricks. Ultra-fine needles and a calm, controlled technique make the experience smooth and efficient. Treatment usually takes under 20 minutes, and you can return to your normal routine immediately.

Can it be combined with other treatments?
Yes — and this is where results truly elevate. Anti-wrinkle injections work beautifully alongside treatments such as skin boosters, polynucleotides, or microneedling. During consultation, we design a tailored plan that enhances skin quality while optimising muscle balance, creating a natural, refreshed appearance rather than an over-treated look.

When is the right time to start?
There is no fixed age — it’s about muscle activity and early dynamic lines. Many clients choose preventative treatment in their late 20s or early 30s, while others begin later. The earlier muscle-driven lines are managed, the easier they are to maintain softly and naturally over time. Prevention is always more subtle than correction.
