Polynucleotides: fast regeneration without residue.

What they are (and why they’re different).
Polynucleotides (PN, including PDRN/PN-HPT) are highly purified DNA fragments biocompatible, biodegradable chains that your enzymes break down into nucleotides. In skin they act as bio-stimulators, not volumising gels: they bind adenosine A2A receptors, calm inflammation, up-regulate VEGF and fibroblast activity, and drive collagen I/III and extracellular-matrix repair through both receptor signaling and the “salvage pathway” (supplying building blocks for cell repair). They are metabolised, so they don’t sit in the tissue, but they flip the body’s own repair switches.

Who should consider?

You want visible rejuvenation without filler volume.

Thin, delicate or photo-aged skin (under-eye, cheeks, neck, décolleté, hands).

Post-inflammation texture, mild acne-scar quality issues, or skin that looks “tired” from stress/smoking.

You’re building a plan with laser, microneedling or HA filler and want better tissue quality first (“skin priming”).

You’re looking to combine laser, microneedling or chemical peels to achieve holistic skin improvements.

What you can expect on the face and neck.
PN treatments improve skin quality rather than add bulk.
Outcomes: tighter skin (especially under-eye), finer texture, healthier glow, better hydration and greater resilience after sun or procedure stress. A standard protocol is 3 sessions spaced ~2-4 weeks apart, with maintenance one session 2x /year depending on baseline skin and goals. Downtime is minimal (pin-pricks or mild swelling 24-48h).

What the studies show?
Outside pure aesthetics, PN/PDRN are well-documented to accelerate tissue healing. In aesthetics specifically, peer-reviewed data and recent reviews report improvements in texture, elasticity, fine lines and dermal quality, with ultrasound or instrumental gains after intradermal PN-HPT; a split-face clinical trial around the periocular area found PN performed at least comparably to hyaluronic acid for rejuvenation endpoints. Early randomized work also suggests “priming” with PN-HPT can improve subsequent HA-filler outcomes. Evidence is growing fast; the mechanistic and clinical signals are consistent.

What you can expect on the face and neck.
PN treatments improve skin quality rather than add bulk. Typical outcomes: tighter skin (especially under-eye), finer texture, healthier glow, better hydration by ECM remodeling, and greater resilience after sun or procedure stress. Because PN are rapidly broken down, results come from remodeling over weeks, not from a substance remaining under the skin. A standard protocol is 3 sessions spaced ~2-4 weeks apart, with maintenance 2-3 /year depending on baseline skin and goals. Downtime is minimal (pin-pricks or mild swelling 24-48h).

Why Cullinan Clinic

Cullinan is built for precision biostimulation. At Cullinan Clinic we use CE-marked, highly purified PN-HPT devices from top manufacturers and applies micro-bolus and techniques tailored by area (e.g., periocular vs. mid-face). We document baselines, map vessels when indicated, and design a stacked protocol when PN should precede lasers, microneedling or HA. If you’re unsure which product or sequence is right, we choose it for you, your plan is bespoke, conservative where needed, and escalated only when biology and evidence support it.

Stimulate fibroblasts & Collagen Boost
Polynucleotides don’t stay in your skin, they teach skin to repair itself. Think of them as a reset for dermal biology: anti-inflammatory, pro-angiogenic, pro-collagen, with clinical data that spans wound healing to measurable cosmetic quality gains. For clients who want real rejuvenation without bulk, PN are the rational solution backed by science.

Ready to see if PN are the right move for you? Book a consultation at Cullinan Clinic. We’ll examine your skin, set expectations by the numbers, and build a plan that delivers visible, camera-honest results.

FAQ
Polynucleotides (PN) at Cullinan Clinic

What are polynucleotides (PN)?
Highly purified DNA fragments (PN/PDRN/PN-HPT) that act as bio-stimulators. They signal repair (A2A receptor pathways), calm inflammation, and encourage fibroblasts to rebuild collagen and the extracellular matrix.

How are PN different from hyaluronic acid (HA) boosters or fillers?
PN do not add volume. They don’t form a gel. They improve skin quality (elasticity, texture, firmness) by driving regeneration rather than sitting in the tissue.

Do PN stay in my skin?
No. They are biodegradable and metabolised by your body. Results come from remodelling, not from a substance remaining under the skin.

What results should I expect?
Smoother texture, better elasticity, reduced crepiness (notably under-eye), healthier glow, and more resilient skin on face, neck, décolletage and hands.

When will I see results and how long do they last?
Early changes from 2-6 weeks, building cumulatively over the course. With maintenance, quality gains are sustained over 6-12 months.

What does the procedure involve?
A series of precise micro-deposits (or cannula “mesh”) placed intradermally in targeted zones. Session time ~20–30 minutes.

Does it hurt?
Mild discomfort. We use topical anaesthetic and low-pain micro-bolus techniques.

What downtime should I expect?
Usually minimal-pin-prick marks or puffiness for 24-48 hours. Makeup after 12-24h if the skin is calm.

Is it safe?
Excellent tolerability in clinical use. Typical, short-lived effects: redness, swelling, small bruises. Rare: infection or hypersensitivity.
We avoid treatment in pregnancy/breastfeeding, active skin infection, or poorly controlled autoimmune disease.

Are PN suitable for all skin tones?
Yes. PN are non-photosensitising and appropriate across Fitzpatrick I–VI when injected correctly.

Can PN be combined with other treatments?
Yes. Common pairings: microneedling, fractional laser, HA fillers, and anti-wrinkle injections.
Typical sequencing: PN for priming (often first), then energy devices or fillers. Your clinician will set the exact intervals.

Will PN dissolve or move my existing filler?
No. PN are not enzymes and do not dissolve HA. They support tissue quality around existing filler when properly timed.

Under-eye treatments: will I get bumps?
Small blebs are normal immediately after injection and settle over 24-72 hours.

Any pre- or post-care?
Pre: arrive well-hydrated; avoid active infections; pause strong actives (retinoids/acids) 24–48h if advised.
Post: keep the area clean, avoid saunas/intense workouts for 24-48h, minimise alcohol that evening; follow your personalised plan.

Is the product vegan?
Many PN are derived from salmon DNA (highly purified). If you prefer non-animal or specific sourcing, tell us, options can be discussed.

Who performs the treatment at Cullinan Clinic?
A doctor-led aesthetic team and highly trained practitioners. The clinic is led by Urszula Michalska (CEO & Clinic Aesthetician). We use CE-marked, high-purity PN-HPT devices and map technique (micro-bolus vs cannula) to your anatomy.

How do I know if PN are right for me?
Book a consultation. We assess skin history, goals, and timelines, then build a bespoke protocol, often integrating PN with targeted energy or injectable plans for the best return on biology.
